Petra Canyon Passage, Al Siq

A horse-drawn carriage trots through the narrow sandstone canyon of Al Siq in Petra, Jordan. This eventually opens to reveal the Treasury in all its glory, as shown in earlier pictures.

The Arab driver is wearing the traditional red and white "ghutra" cotton head scarf of this region. It is usually worn in Jordan without the black "agal" or head cord.
