A Pride of African Lions in Luangwa Valley, Zambia

In the early morning light with the rains ended for this season and the savannah now turning to brown, the lion and lioness blend easily into the background savannah grass and scrub. There are another three lionesses lying hidden in the grass. It is easy to see how an unwary person or animal moving from an up wind direction towards the lions could become breakfast.
