View over Vientiane, Laos, Indochina

Vientiane is the relaxed capital of Laos, located on the Mekong River near the border with Thailand . It is a former French colony in what is still commonly known as Indochina. In the foreground are workshops and on the right a hotel, while in the middle distance the French colonial style is still visible.

Also visible to the right is a Buddhist temple.
